Over the years, I’ve written you many emails, and they helped to heal some of my bleeding wounds because it’s so important to share your pain with someone else.

Not be isolated in it.

I used to believe that it’s enough to just write the words, that speaking them out loud eases the tension and self-loafing within you.

I should have believed you when you said this world of ours is cruel.

Because I don’t think there is a cure for this all-consuming pain swallowing me whole and sending me falling down the abyss from which there is no escape and only hell awaits me.

Today, I found out the whole truth. The real and hideous truth of my birth.

You see, after the whole discovery about my bio dad, I just assumed my dad adopted me while Mom was in jail because there was no one else to watch over me. That he was protecting me from the mad person Mom was running away from. My perfect dad who can do no wrong in my eyes had to have an important reason, right?

Wrong.

They never corrected my assumptions, but I guess that’s why they acted as if they hid something from me.

You see, my perfect dad hated my mom so much for what he thought she did, he wanted her complete suffering, and sentencing her to fifteen years of prison wasn’t enough.

No.

He ordered the inmates to hurt Mom, but he didn’t know that she was six months pregnant with me. She was so badly hurt that they had no other choice but to take me out sooner than expected, and the doctors didn’t really give me much hope. I was too weak and couldn’t breathe on my own.

This sounds bad, right? Not as bad as the next part, though, where my father paid off everyone to lie to Mom and tell her the baby died and stole me from her.

He saved me, yes, summoning every professional worldwide, and then to rub salt into the wound, he even gave me the name Mom wanted for her daughter.

All this time, I hated my biological father for being so weak and giving up on my mom when she needed him the most and praised my dad for loving my mom the way he does.

Turns out, though, that Dad was the biggest villain in this story all along. Mom fell for her enemy, and I can never understand that.

How can you love a man who hurt you the most?

It’s hard to breathe, my soul burns from pain and agony while tears come, dripping on the keyboard as I write these words to you, and still, it doesn’t lessen the blow that keeps hitting me over and over again, knocking the wind out of me.

My whole life is a lie.

Everything I have…everything I am…all my upbringing is one giant lie built on my mom’s pain because she suffered for almost four years.
